Accenture and ATG to Showcase Cross-Channel Commerce Solutions for Retail and Consumer Goods
Innovation Center in Milan to provide a glimpse of next-generation commerce
LONDON, UK - June 22, 2010 - Accenture (NYSE:ACN) and ATG (Art Technology Group Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the premier provider of cross channel commerce solutions, announced that they will showcase cross-channel commerce solutions in Accenture's Customer Innovation Network in Milan, Italy.
Retailers and consumer products companies visiting the center will be able to see and assess the impact of an end-to-end cross-channel commerce solution before they implement the process themselves. As part of their assessment, they can reproduce the ideal customer experience across channels and within key cross-channel touch points such as Web to call center or mobile to in-store. The showcase provides a realistic view of innovative cross-channel commerce technologies and the significant advances that have been made in recent years.
The solutions on display will cover all cross-channel environments including the online store, web self-service, knowledge management and call center integration, powered and integrated via ATG's cross-channel commerce solutions. Companies visiting the center will experience:
- How a customer can move seamlessly from one channel to another during the shopping process
- How customers can search for product information
- How ATG's products provide highly personalised results, which will lead to improved customer experiences, reduced basket abandonment, and incremental sales.
An example of web-to-phone transactions is also provided with the implementation of Click to Call. Accenture has extended the solution to include smart image management, product ratings and reviews, payment processing, product information management, web analytics, and fulfillment/order management.
"To achieve high performance, retailers and consumer goods companies must combine the basics of convenience and price with new channel innovation and an inspiring, personalized customer experience that drives loyalty," said Alberto Pozzi, Accenture senior executive. "Companies must create a consistent customer experience across all channels, whether via the web, mobile, in-store, kiosk, email or call center. Our collaboration with ATG has produced an end-to-end solution that offers a single view of the customer across all channels, helping consumer facing companies put the customer at the heart of their cross-channel offering."
Peter Ford, ATG Alliances director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, "This collaboration enables ATG to support Accenture and its customers in the development and implementation of their next generation, customer-centric commerce strategies. These solutions are now regarded as essential elements of the drive toward improved customer loyalty, increased margins from the highly profitable cross-channel buyer, and enhanced operational efficiency for forward-looking businesses. We are delighted to be working with Accenture in this program to deliver innovative, world class solutions for their clients."
